Gosh Jeffro!! We all shared so many good times with you and Kelly. My favorite that I loved was the day on Lake Minnetonka when my best friend Lisy came out to visit from Colorado and you two welcomed her in right from the moment you met. I have great pictures of you when Lisy lost her hat in the water and you dove in to retrieve it for her without a thought. Then you coming back in the boat with her hat on and playing air guitar to the song that was on. That was one of many good times

You will shine down on us forever and we will take good care of Kelly. You will be missed deeply.

Luv you long time Jeffro!!!!

When Jeff lived in Mountain View he was my friend, my coworker and collaborator.

I remember hiking all day in the pouring rain at big basin. We learned that if a giant redwood falls in the forest while you are there, it definitely makes a very big sound, and it smells like a sawmill!

I remember painting with Jeff all day on the same painting with neither of us trying to control the development of the painting. No one said, "don't do that" or... "that doesn't look right". We would paint over what we each had painted and no one said, "leave that alone, I like that how it is." We just painted for hours, and when we were done, we congratulated each other on what we had created.

I can't remember being more excited about painting than when I was around Jeff.

Our fondest memories of Jeff are spending many New Year’s Eve’s together.  Gambling at the casino or at our house, we could always count on Jeff and Kelly to be there until the end and ready for whatever fun lied ahead.

Another memory is the time we were tubing and a big storm came thru.  Jeff and Corey were the only ones brave enough to go out on the choppy waters.

Our hearts go out to you, Kelly, during this very difficult time.  The love you two had was incredible and something that will live on in you forever.  Jeff will never be forgotten.  His memory will live on thru all those who knew and loved him.  Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your families.

Love, Corey and Nichole

I can remember hanging out with Jeff when my aunt Cathy and Uncle Jack first got together. I was the oldest cousin on that side of the family so finally someone my age to hang out with!!! Jeff was shy but always smiling and we would hang out and just chit chat or toss a ball around. I loved going downstairs and checking out all the artwork he had in his room. What a talent even way back then! On one occasion we were visiting Cathy's parents at an RV Park  while they were in town. Jeff and I took out a paddle boat on the pond for something to do. We somehow managed to get it stuck in the middle in some muck. I had no desire to jump in and get it unstuck but Jeff hoped right in and got us to shore. He was my hero that day!  Over the years as we grew up and went our ways Jeff always found out where I was and invited me to his wedding and art showings. He had to be one of the easiest going most talented people I have ever met. And what a beautiful talented woman he found in Kelly! It is still hard for me to believe I just saw him at my brothers wedding June 7th and gave him a quick hello and got to see that killer grin of his it will be forever engraved in my memory. RIP Jeff Hettwer. You were and are so loved by so many!

My first memory of Jeff was 2nd grade! I was new to Epiphany and he was the first smile to welcome me! I remember from the first glance that he was special. Not only was he the cutest guy in our grade... he was the first boy that became my friend at Epiphany. I do have some pictures from our grade school years... he wasn't a fan of girls taking his picture then... but you can't help but be addicted to his smile! Jeff was also my first crush... I believe at some point we were married on the playground... isn't that funny... that was so long ago. I didn't keep in touch with Jeff after Epiphany, wish I would have gotten to know you, Kelly. I have read from others about the bond that you two shared and the love he had for you, it's sounds like something we all hope to find! My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
