Dang! I cannot even begin to say what I feel. When I walk out the door everyday and see the Red Jeep I just expect that at anytime Jeff and Jake will be jumpin in and goin somewhere. That would be my most recurring memory of Jeff. Just a wave and a smile. I think it’s the smile you’ve all mentioned. I have only had the pleasure of “fence talk” with Jeff. Like the day after his birthday when I asked if that was him swimming in the lake at 3am and he said no that was my crazy brother in law! Or, a week or so later when I told him I was jealous how easy his dock went in and he explained how he and his dad built it together, his dad had all the tools…and was he proud….. and he should be!

I will remember Jeff for making Theta Chi Luau t-shirts (another Jeff Hettwer original), smack talking his brother which nobody did as well as him, smack talking me for my belt buckle - I thought I was cool cause I had a bottle opener belt buckle then he one upped me w/ the flip flop bottle opener, and for fantastic advice on healing my nipple ring.  Jeff's character, enthusiasm, and heart cannot be replaced and will not be forgotten.

Jeff,

The first time I really got to know you was our Lutsen trip, who would have thought at the time there would be so many more great trips and adventures to follow. We are so happy you and Kelly fit so well into our neigborhood and how much all of our friends loved you. Thank you for all of the great card matchups and never showing up without Yelapa. I'm so glad you won the right to wear the Speedo, that image will be etched in my mind forever and in a good way.  Our childeren were so lucky to have you to play with, boat with, and attend so many of their sporting events. I will forever admire the way you loved Kelly, it will leave an everlasting impression on all of us. You were a great person and friend, I love you and will miss you.

Jeffro,

Where do I start??  We have had so many great memories over the years.  I am so glad you came into our life and we became such good friends. I feel so lucky.   Our trip to Mexico was my favorite memory, we had a lot of fun.  There are so many more memories than that, like  Lutsen, Treasure Island, cards, bonfires, long islands and more.  Thank you for taking the time to know my kids.  You were such a big part of their life.   Every night the kids would ask us, "Can Jeff and Kelly come over?".  They loved you so much.  I will never forget your bright smile and your silly laugh.   Your passion for art was amazing, but your love for Kelly was even more.  You brought such love and happiness into her life.  Your memories will fill my mind and warm my heart forever.  I love you Jeffro and will miss you!
