Jeff was the kind of person you would want to have as a friend.
Although we only really knew each other on a professional level - I could always count on him to be a perfectionist and have the work done well ahead of time. And every time I talked with him he seemed like such an honest, down-to-earth person - there was nothing phony about him. I remember thinking after working with him a few times that no one can be this nice and so responsible! Those are a qualities that seems so rare nowadays. I just wish I had more time get to know him better. I know that his talent, good nature and kindness will be missed in our building and our community.
My condolences to you, Kelly, and all of Jeff's family and close friends.

I was stunned and deeply saddened to hear of Jeff's death. His steady, calm, focused presence next door was a reliable and heartening part of the artistic energy in the Northrup King building.
Words are not adequate,

Kelly and Hettwer Family,
Jeff's soft-spoken and thoughtful nature is greatly missed. It was a pleasure to visit with Jeff in his beautiful sun-lit studio and see what new painting he was working on - carefully, meticulously, and with great intensity. He was a fine craftsman, framer, and artist - truly a valuable asset to our community on the 2nd floor of the Northrup King Building. His door was always open and we enjoyed sharing our artistic process with each other. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Please call on me if I can be of any help at any time.
Sincerely yours,
Patrick
