Kelly~

So sorry to hear about Jeff. I am not sure if you remember me from high school, we did a brief email exchange about the ten year reunion. It is always difficult to lose a classmate, especially so young and full of life. Just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I last saw Jeff pulling up to the NK Building in his red Jeep for First Thursday in June and wish I would have stopped to say hi. I was in a rush and not feeling well and figured I would just say hi next time I saw him... Of course hindsight is always 20/20. I had the good fortune to be Jeff's studio neighbor not just once, but twice. First on the 4th floor of the NK Building and then down the hall a bit on 2nd floor since 2005. Jeff would always come by my studio during shows and though he was quiet in nature, could immediately light up a room with his infectious smile. I will miss seeing Jeff's happy face and colorful paintings at the studio and will most definitely be thinking of him this November when I cast my ballot for Barack Obama. Kelly, know my heart breaks for the loss of your best friend and to Jeff's family for the loss of a kind and talented son/brother/uncle. You are all in my thoughts and I wish for you nothing but the very best. meg.

Although I never met Jeff, I got a glimpse of a great guy and artist  when I read his life story:  It was so rich and magical.  My heart aches for Kelly and Jake.  May the two of you help ease each other's suffering during this tragic, traumatic time.  "Ars Longa, Vita Breve" (Art is forever, life is short.)

Kelly,

Taking the tour through the art and photos of you and Jeff gave us more light to your life with him. The smiles you two share will always shine, even the twinkle in his eyes.  Truly the gift in his art will always be a legacy of appreciation with all who knew him.  We pray peace and comfort for you Kelly.

Kelly, I am sorry for your loss, Jeff was truely one of a kind. You are so lucky to be married and so deepley loved by a wounderful man. You shared a beautiful bond that will live on for ever. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to you and your family.

During Art A Whirl or on any First Thursday I could always count on Jeff and Kelly to be in the studio together talking and laughing. Jeff was very generous to all of us in the Northrup King Building. He was the guy who always had the drill and borrowing it was never a problem. Always ready to help and never stingy with that incredible smile. Godspeed. Sara

Kelly,

I am so sorry for your loss.  Jeff was truly a wonderful person and a one of a kind soul.  We were all so blessed to have been able to know him.  The two of you displayed the love and respect for one another only few get to experience.  May you find the strength and grace to get through this time.  Jeff will be missed.  I'm sorry such a great person was taken so young.  He will live on through memories and his wonderful art work.  My prayers are with you and your loved ones every minute.

Keep your chin up and know we are all supporting you with thoughts and prayers.

With Love,

Sarah Maher
