MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO JEFF'S WIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS. FIND STRENGTH IN HIS GOODNESS AND GRACE.
Do Not Weep
Mary Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Almost a locker partner |

Hi Kelly...I am so sorry for your loss. I was almost Jeff's locker partner...I gave it up to Katy Johnson (who had a huge friend crush on Jeff!) but we remained friends for a while. I lost contact with a lot of people from Blaine and I just reconnected with Mickey Marty and he told me the sad news. I wish I had know you two better... you were beautiful together.

Early last week, I paged through a calendar to find what day of the week in 2017 I turn 40 years old. I realized that of those weeks, months and years I mindlessly paged right past, many hold amazing blessings.. and tragedies. And none can be known until they come. Some of these days we would rather skip right past. But through these days, we remember to always keep close to us the ones we love.
This may be one of those weeks, months, years.. But loved-ones are close.
Nonetheless, my heart sinks for Jeff's family and all of his friends.
My Sincerest Sympathy.

Kelly,
I am so so sorry. You are such a sweet, special, caring person and feel so horrible that Jeff's time had to come so early. It's not fair at all. I just want you to know that I'm thinking about you. Keep your family and friends close by your side, and your memories of Jeff even closer.

Goodbye Scout |
June 24, 2008 |
Dear Jan & Jack,
The Rossi's are deeply saddened by the loss of Jeffery. Dave brought it to my attention. We were delighted to have Jeremy and his little brother Jeff in Troop 524. I think we called him "Squeaky". Both boys were good Scouts, and apparently good husbands and fathers. Our heartfelt condolences. He will be missed.

Kelly, My prayers and thought are with you, your family and Jeffs family every day. I had the rare oppertunity of being in that art class and actually sitting at the same table with you and Jeff when you two met. I remember seeing two completely different people meet and come close together right before my eyes in class everyday. You two truly had something special right from the beginning. Jeff was a highschool friend, football teammate, and one of the most interesting guys I ever met. He will be missed.

I was indeed blessed to have taught Jeff in sixth grade at Epiphany Catholic School in Coon Rapids. I always remember Jeff for his kindness, gentle spirit and caring personality. There are many students who stand out in teacher's memories and the Hettwer boys are two of those students. I am sadden to learn of Jeff's passing, a great life cut short. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers as we send Jeff back to his Creator and know that he is in the presence of the Lord. In the days ahead, dwell on his life and celebrate what God lent us for a short time and I will continue to pray your strength in the Lord.
May God bless you, his family and friends with abundant blessings and gentle graces. Jeff shall forever remain in our thoughts, and in our hearts.
God bless you.

Kelly, Schroeders and Bergs,
We are very sorry for your loss. You have such a great family connection and are very fortunate to have each other during this time of morning and extreme sadness.
We had Megan at our house the weekend of Jeff's passing. Megan and I were chatting over the weekend about her newly pierced ears. She was very proud of them, but she was even prouder to tell me about all the piercings her uncle Jeff had. She knew each location very specifically :) Megan, Luke and Dylan are very lucky to have spent time with such a great uncle. They adored him, almost as much as they adore their aunt Kelly ;). You can see a person's greatness through a child's eyes. Our thoughts are with you.

Words can not explain how sorry I am for your loss and how much we will miss Jeff at the Schroeder/Berg family gatherings. I will miss his Warm Smile and Loving Presence. In time may you find the peace that passes all understanding.
Love,
Deb
